Sounds like another corrupt centrally planned government run universal health care system.

I guess they could call this 'health care' regimen the Family Planning Pathway -not to be confused with the Liverpool Pathway.

This story (if true) is very disturbing. That the state of Israel, of all countries, should be racist is just too ironic for words.

(The whole point of this, of course, is the evil of racism, not the evil of contraception.)

It's more than a little curious that we've not seen this more widely reported. I mean, Israel isn't exactly short of enemies... and those enemies are forever chanting "Zionism is racism!".

I'll suspend judgement for the time being.

It seems a bit fishy to me. Why would a government situated as Israel is want *fewer* people born who are likely to be sympathetic?

Actually, I do not suggest that racism is not a possible motivation for employing the means (a government with too much unlimited control and power). I simply point out the elephant in the room that the collectivist utopians seem always blind to -the means. As long as the tyrant does their bidding all is well; however when the tyrant does not impose injustice employing means directed towards the proper ends -does something they disagree with -oh no, time for another solution to the problems created!
