No. We would be Augustinian, like in St Augustine. Both Arminius and Calvinus were non catholics.

Salvation, is that it is what you are asking about...

I would describe it as sacramental, incarnational. Protestants have a hard time with that.

AFAIK, we don't have RCIA programs in Spain. All I can say is that the Church is very welcoming.

In its most basic sense, the whole point of our lives, according to the Catholic Church, is to learn how to know, love, and serve God and to live in His friendship so that at the end of our lives we can be happy with Him in Heaven.

So the point of Catholic theology is to teach us how best to live in the friendship of God to accomplish that goal. It includes the stuff we need to know and the sort of lifestyle we want to embrace.

Based on your questions about Armianism, that may be overly simplistic, but I like to start from the simplest starting point, myself.

thanks rose

i wasnt questioning the point of the theology however

whats really bothering me is the fact i am the only believer in my close family. I did try and discuss once with a friend of the family who is devout. All she could offer unfortunetly was that if i had been chosen then thats the way it is. I have had no religious motivation from my family im a convert and born again. i fell victim the past year to a sinful relationship and to the teachings of a false prophet. i have been very confused

i reconciled on friday and have had communion every day since. i need to pray more though.

i hope this sheds more light on what teachings im asking to be clarified although i fear i know the answers within and I will need to come to terms with it.
