I still consider myself to be a "New Catholic" even though it's been several years since my reception into the Church. I'd very much like to hear your stories about favorite sacramentals, be them Crucifixes, Rosaries, holy water, holy oils... even good old worn Bibles. What sacramentals have special meaning to you, and why?

I have a couple of handmade rosaries that were sent to me by a COL member way, way, way back when.
I'm kind of partial to them.

My life is almost exclusively centered around (besides Jesus) people I know and love... and digital/online.

So literally my most prized, almost my only prized, material possession in my life is a rosary. It was made for me by a friend in college about 20 years ago, a friend I have known ever since. It has been with me through all those years and all those experiences.

If a fire happened in my house, it is the only THING I would make sure to grab.

In our bedroom we have a crucifix that belonged to my grandparents; it is very old and very beautiful. We also have a family Bible that was given to my father from his parents when he was young; my parents gave it to us years ago and I just love it. Tagging along with what Jeff said, in the event of a fire I would grab these two items before running out, along with my rosary.

Diana,

Apart from the Rosary, I wear a Miraculous Medal because of my love for Our Lady and trust in Her promises. I also keep a collection of St Benedict Rosaries, which has an approved form of blessing for the sacramental (See Here), that I give to anyone who is dying and want it. The Benedict Cross has given faith, peace and comfort to at least one non-Catholic.
