M Angelica prays the Hail Mary in honor of St Michael. Why do we have to ask for intercession when praying to St Michael? Why are all the choirs of angels invoked (seraphim ,dominions...) as well?Is St Michael the leader of these ?

The Blessed Mother is Queen of Heaven and Queen of all the Angels. The different choirs of angels have different responsibilities according to what God assigns them. Some are "stronger" than others. If you pray the Chaplet of St. Michael often, it has been my experience that the angels will do remarkable things for you, separate and above whatever the "norm" is. You will be made aware of their intercession in your life. Angels as well as Our Lady have been given to us by God to assist us in many ways. Take advantage of this gift and you will never regret it. Our Lady always directs us to Her Son, Jesus. Angels often "carry" our prayers to the very presence of God in Heaven. This isn't "magic", it is very real. My life has been "enriched" a hundredfold by the acknowledgement of Our Lady's holy angels.

The Blessed Mother is the Queen of Angels. Perhaps that's why.

The link between Michael and Mary can be seen in today's Office of Readings .... Apocalypse 12:1-17

I read that those in Heaven get what is called incidental joy or happiness when you offer a Mass in their honor. I guess the same goes for praying a Hail Mary in their honor.
