Does anyone know how I could obtain a Cathoic hymnal that has all the music in it? The ones at my parish, and most parishes, have only the melody line. I'm new to Catholicism, and I'd like to learn to play some of the hymns, but the music is not written in the hymnal.

I do not know if this is what you are looking for or not but there is a 4 volume series called "Gather Comprehensive" Keyboard accompaniment.

From a music shop, sometimes a Catholic bookshop, or online. Yes, it is that obvious! You may simply want to do a web search for the one your parish uses, but look for 'organ' 'full music' 'score' or 'accompaniment'. Or ask the MD.

The hymnal used by our church choir has all the parts:
Choral Praise
Comprehensive

OCP Publications

I went to their site but didn't find the exact book, probably out of date. I would contact them if you are still looking.

Look for the Adoramus Hymnal, I have both the singing version and the version set up to stay open flat on the piano.

It is my favorite, has lots of excellent music in it.

AdorEmus is an excellent hymnal for traditional Sacred Music.

The great thing about Adoremus is that the music contained in it is of unimpeachable on matters of morality and doctrine. You will not find music whose lyrics might lead one astray.

Some of the other suggestions here incorporate more modern music and a mix. It really depends on what type of music you are looking for.

Adoremus Hymnal

What Jeff said. I've discovered some discrepancies when comparing to other hymnals, too.

I have the first edition organ hymnal, which is in a binder so you can open it up and play with it. I believe the Standard edition is the one with SATB that a choir would use.
