I just received this from my OFS fraternity. I would be very grateful for those of you who have the time and inclination to add this intention in your prayers. Thank you.

Dear Prayer Warriors,
Please pray for a young woman, K.M., who is scheduled to have an abortion this Saturday in Cleveland. She met with Maggie's Place staff for a 1st intake, but then failed to meet for her 2nd. When contacted, she said that she had decided to have the abortion and would not answer further calls. K.M. had told the interviewer that she does not want to have the abortion, but that her mother kicked her out until she goes through with it.
I will be praying at this abortion clinic on Sat. morning. Please pray that one of us pro-lifers will be given the opportunity to reach out to K.M. and that the Holy Spirit will convict her to choose life for her baby. May Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Unborn, intercede for K.M.
Thank you for your prayers!
Lenten Blessings,
Kathy

Your intention, the lady and, especially, her unborn child are all in my prayers, Schultzz.

Schultzz,

My prayers. If K. M. is in the Chicago area, please email me. There is a home that can be an option to her.

All of you are kind and generous with your prayers and I will not forget your thoughtfulness in this matter. I know there are others who pray but do not make mention of it here and I thank you also.

My prayers will be added, and for her mother as well.

I thank everyone for your prayers and know that they will be of great benefit wherever God directs His grace. I did receive this email from Kathy. It is disappointing but I know that all of you will be blessed for your prayerful efforts. Thank you again.

Dear Prayer Warriors,

With a heavy heart, I share the news that K.M. did go through with the abortion (or at least someone closely fitting her description that was accompanied by her mother and a friend). I was able to approach them and walk aside them as they entered. The time was short, so I let the Holy Spirit lead the few words
that I was able to speak. K.M.'s mom was the only one who spoke and she was visibly upset. She did agree to take my pamphlets with help resources and fetal development explanation and timeline. I tried to implore K.M. from a mom standpoint and her mother from a grandmother standpoint.

I was surprised and ecstatic when I heard that a Mass was being said in a chiropractic office in the basement floor of the same building. I was even more shocked when the priest arrived and I recognized him as a good friend of Maggie's Place. There were at least 10-15 other pro-lifers outside praying while the abortions and Mass were going on inside... talk about spiritual warfare!

Sadly, the time frame and slow and labored walk of K.M. on her exit, indicated that she probably did have the abortion. She walked with her head down, obviously upset. I approached them again and told them that we would continue to pray for them. I asked the mother if she still had the pamphlet that I had given her and she admitted that she had left it in the abortion mill. I offered her another which she accepted. I explained that there were post-abortion help resources listed and also a pro-life doctor who could undo the RU-486 procedure, if that was the abortifacient used.

These are the most difficult cases...the ones in which the participants seem reachable. The disappointment was heart-wrenching. I had to remind myself of a quote that Mother Teresa made:

“God has not called me to be successful; He has called me to be faithful.”

Thank you again for all your prayers, my friends. We must persevere in spite of any disappointments, hardships or persecutions. We know the end of the story!

Your sister for LIFE,
Kathy
