Last year I requested prayers for my friend's new born granddaughter who was seriously ill over the Christmas period, then for my friend's father who disappeared and whose body was found two weeks later. I am now coming back to ask for more prayers as my friends husband has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. He was just due to start pallative chemo but they have discovered he has two blood clots and can't do any treatment until this situation is resolved. They are a very strong family but are being tested to the limit and your prayers for them will be greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to update you on this prayer request. Dave spent Christmas Day at home but was rushed into hospital on Boxing Day. Tests have shown his cancer is now in the lining of the heart, it is unlikely he will come out of hospital. Please pray for Dave, for Maureen his wife, his children Jeff, Laura, Adam and Heather and grandaughters Ella and Niamh.

May In "bump" this up please. Dave is coming home, the hospice is being refurbished and most, if not all the patients are being transferred out. I have just heard tonight that one of Maureens's sisters has been given a terminal diagnosis. My heart is broken for this family.

Just to let you all know, Dave died peacefully yesterday at around noon at home. He had been bedridden since Sunday, he asked to sit up, said I'm comfortable now, and just stopped breathing. His wife, one of his sons and two daughters were with him.
