My wife took a tumble earlier this afternoon and suffered a shoulder contusion and fractured a couple of ribs. We just got back home from the emergency room. She is doing as well as a person with cracked ribs can do.

Will appreciate all prayers.

Jim:

:( :( :(

Lots of prayers for poor Cheroni! The older we get, the more we can't walk anywhere without holding on to something.

Being an octogenarian, I sure do agree with Fr. Sotelo :o

It's either the walker or the wheelchair...but I'm still smiling. :)

Jim, and your lovely bride were added to my daily list many moons ago.

Actually the entire Forum is added...

Prayers from here, too, Jim.

Absolutely!

Though convincing them of that is going to be a trick!

Jim,

The only advantage with being a banged up wife is that the husband has to wait on you hand and foot and feels guilty that he wasn't there to catch you LOL. Hope Cheroni milks this for all it's worth  .

Far be it from me to accuse her of such a thing, Father Angel . . . :hold:

Uh, be right back. She's calling!

Thank you all for your prayers. Please keep them coming as I have a very frightening update to add:

I got home from the hospital @12:30 a.m this morning. In addition to the two fractured ribs my wife suffered in last Sunday's fall, she now has a severe bladder infection and a blood sugar count in the 400s. Her condition since the trip to the ER on Sunday has continued to deteriorate. By late afternoon yesterday, she was unable to even arise from a chair. She is suffering extreme pain and has difficulty communicating.

She has been admitted to Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Continued prayers will be much appreciated!

Thanks for all the prayers. They are working!

A visit today from a couple of Mini Santas help, too!

She's looking and acting much better today but still not all the way out of the woods yet (sugar is still in the 300s) so keep 'em coming.
