A friend of mine just texted me asking for prayers. So I ask you to pray with me for her father and all those who love him. His cancer has spread even more, and he will not be able to celebrate Christmas the way they had hoped. He is very ill, and there is nothing more the doctors can do for him, except to help with pain management. They are praying for a miracle.

I will consider your position if stated with firm, well-thought-out, quiet reasoning. Hateful diatribe, ad hominem attacks and shouted rhetoric don't impress.

Thank you for your prayers. They are so convinced that God will heal him, and I worry what it will do to their faith if that is not God's will.
They are not Catholic, and they have some ideas around prayer and answered prayers that are foreign to me.
