I just finished Jeff Shaara's "Gone for Soldiers",
a fictionalized account of the 1847 US/Mexican conflict that focuses mostly on Winfield Scott and Robert E. Lee.
I loved it!
Of course, Historical Fiction is one of my favorite genrés and Jeff and his dad, Michael, are two of my favorite authors in this area.
I will consider your position if stated with firm, well-thought-out, quiet reasoning. Hateful diatribe, ad hominem attacks and shouted rhetoric don't impress.
