I recently installed Tapatalk 2 on my Android devices after being prompted while visiting the forums on them. I love the convenience, but find that I am unable to post messages. When I select 'submit', the following error pops up:

SQL ERROR [mysqli]Column 'log_operation' cannot be null [1048]An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

I suspect this is a server error, but am not sure. Any thoughts or advice?

Fr Maurer,

I have been having a similar problem and error message with my iPhone and have never found a solution. I can't even sign in on Taptalk. Tried countless times and gave up.

I've had this for a couple months now. It's something that has to be fixed by the server administrator. Do we have any contact with them anymore?

I think there is a way to contact forum administrators, but the protocol is to first post something in this section. Given that its the week of Christmas, we're probably best off waiting a few days for a response before going the private message route.

Sadly, if this has been around for a while, it may be a more difficult problem to track down than it appears. Doing a Google search for the error message reveals a lot of conversations about how modifications to forum software often plays havoc with Tapatalk. That might be the case here, which may mean we're out of luck. Guess we'll see.

Merry Christmas to you, by the by! While its quiet here in the forums, here's hoping that means everyone is having a blessed and joyful time with family & friends.

peace,
Fr. Maurer

Father,

As a longtime member and a server administrator myself by profession, I know that the administrators of the site do not read the forum. The moderators do, of whom one is Ian, who then (used to be able to) pass on to the moderators the request for technical support.

After the...issues...earlier this year, I'm not sure how good that connection is these days. Thus my question.

Jeff,

The information on the problem was passed on to to the site administrator before the episode you are referring to, he worked on the problem for quite a long time, but even he could not find a solution.

This is resolved now. I'm very happy about that. :-)
