We have several days of good weather forecast so we're heading out to check on the other house. This is our first chance to go there since before Christmas because of two passes over 11,000 ft that are notorious for winter weather. It's a 6 1/2 hour drive including a short meal stop and we only cross about 2/3 of the state! Play nice while we're gone. :P :P

Have a safe and happy trip, Bob. I hope all is well on the other place.

Thanks Jim, CDOT says the roads are dry all the way. Since we were there last we've had the inside painted and both baths gutted and remodeled so we're anxious to see how it all looks. Only in a small town would we dare to hand a private contractor the keys and tell him we'll be back in a couple of months.

Now that is faith!

He did a terrific job and even corrected a few structural issues we were not aware of, it's just a different way of doing business in a rural community. We have done similar with the roofer and the painter with great success.
