In the Navy we pipe the Captain on and off the ship, he is addressed on those occasions by the ship's name, such Skipjack arriving/departing etc. I was just noodling about how that would work in church; can you imagine a little organ note followed by the announcement St. Mary arriving or perhaps St. Wenceslaus arriving or St. Gabriel departing!
