Praise be to God, my wife's health has improved significantly in recent days. :)

So now I can back to griping about trivia. :violin:

For as long as I can remember (which, admittedly, isn't all that long anymore) :( , the local newspaper has been delivered in a bright, orange wrap, clearly visible wherever it lands in yard or drive.

Now that we have snow on the ground, the wrap of choice is clear plastic, making it quite a challenge to find a white newspaper partially sunk in the snow! :( []

End of rant! (And my prayer is that this will be the worst problem I confront as my few remaining years rapidly roll by!) :)

I join in your rant; I have an ear infection and bronchitis, and after two days of antibiotics I still don't feel better.

Much more justifiable reason to complain than a lost newspaper, Andrew. Prayers for your quick recovery going up!

How long does it take to get it pasted back into readable condition, Bob?

It often goes right in the recycling bin.

Jim,

Well I can't help you with anything snow related, other than to suggest you move to sunny California, but thank God your wife is feeling better...happy to hear of it.

My complaint.......... :( []

I'm sick and tired of how they put those sealing papers on the necks of jars of peanut butter.
They're glued on the rim so hard you can't remove every trace of paper without the manual dexterity of a neurosurgeon. I end up eating pieces of paper in my peanut butter sandwiches.
Why doesn't Congress do something about it?

Val, after a nice day yesterday, with a high above freezing so that most of the snow melted, we wake up on the last day of the year to this! :( []

As soon as I can think of a rationale, I am going to blame your comment for this!

Jim, we have not been above freezing in over a week, snow and ice lingers with more expected tonight.

Can't see your photos by the way.

we have not been above freezing since mid-November ... but the recent 'relative' heat wave did prompt the following headline yesterday

Warm weather warning from the city

FYI, the forecast high was 25F (-4C)

I know, Bob. Photobucket has once again effected an unannounced and unsolicited format change. I paid for a pro account and without asking or warning, now they present an entirely new and different way of sharing pictures. I am about ready to dump them — as soon as my paid subscription runs out.

I'll try one more time (below).

Whatever you did worked, if the snow we're getting now is heading East you're in for a white New Year day.

Doesn't look bad to me.

Will duck now.
