The Benedictine Abbey in Atchison, Kansas makes a delicious (albeit a bit pricey) peanut brittle.

I made peanut brittle for several years and I thought mine was pretty good!

But if I have ever eaten better brittle than this, I can’t remember when!

Note that Brother Leven made and Brother Andrew shipped these tins on 12/18/2012 and I am now enjoying the contents on 12/20/2012.

Talk about service . . .

If you are interesting in ordering some, the Abbey website is:

I am now trying to decide whether to consume both 20 ounce tins today . . .

You know, just in case . . .

I need to pay more attention. Brother Andrew inspected it. I don't know who shipped it but they did it in a timely fashion!

I'll bet Brother Andrew didn't just give is a visual inspection, either!

Gonna go get another piece, now!

Jim, do you know if they have an on-site store, their web page didn't list one? We'll be in Muscotah, KS, in a couple of months and could drive over to the Monastery.

I'll find out, Bob and let you know.

When you are really busy making peanut brittle, sometimes you hurry too much when writing :P :)

Yes, these guys are Benedictine Brothers. They're way too busy doing the physical work around the abbey to slow down and proofread and edit the stick-on stamps that accompany their peanut brittle!
