Clearly not in your bed. I thought you just had Tarkio the cat...did the other two come after him or you already had them?

Val, the other two were born under the corncrib at the farm this past June of a feral cat. As you can see, they have adapted quite well to life as domestic cats!

How many times is Black Dog gonna forget that it's his job to fix up a nice comfy place for you and your lovely bride???

Mary, Black has her spot on the couch claimed and her attitude is "I got mine, you get yours . . . and don't bother me with your problems!"

Valerie:

See this thread.

Kent, the (formerly feral) kittens are now fully domesticated house kittens. At the farm, they enjoy being out-of-doors but when we are at the KCK house, with a busy road directly behind the backyard, they have to content themselves with a window-side view of the Great Outdoors!

Marie, I may give that some consideration.

When I am finally able to wriggle and worm a small spot on the bed and retire for the night, Tiggie, the prettily-marked girl kitten likes to sleep on top of me.

That only becomes a problem when, as is her wont, she decides to flex her claws into my side! :( []

Did you train her to play dead or is she doing that on her own?

Her decision, Val . . . she's something of a free spirit! Must be her feral background! :)

Are there legal limits to how many animals are allowed in one's bed at one time?

Don't know about legal but we're getting close to the physical limit! . . . unless we get a bigger bed and/or smaller pets!

Fleas don't take up much space.

Fleas don't take up much space.

Which is why we ensure that all the critters' Frontline applications are current!

We're willing to share space with a few recently-bathed 4-legged critters but draw the line at hosting any with six+ legs!

Jim,
I also have a tabby cat named Tiggie - well, he's a he. He was my late husband's pet. Very frisky, would rather climb the wall than take the stairs. Funny cat.

Marie,

All cats are funny....so are dogs for that matter. My neighbor in my same triplex has two dogs and I watch them very frequently. If she's gone even a few hours they start wondering if I'm supposed to be taking them out or playing with them. I have to walk past their doggie door when I go to my garage and they come out with one them barking like a maniac...I mean not just excited but hysterical and they totally guilt me as I go to my car rather than calling them up front to go for a walk.

Val,
God has a sense of humor. And yes, beasts can guilt you - you just have to be firm with them. But awww, aren't they so cute?

Marie,

They are cute dogs...a miniature schnauzer and Jack Russel terrier. The jack russel terrier's idea of playing ball is to get it from Johann, the miniature schnauzer and then lay down on it with her chin resting on it. He runs up and then runs back to me looking for me to do something. Even if the ball is beside her, he won't take it. Sometimes it's beside her and she just leaves is there and starts licking the carpet and eventually will get away enough that Johann will get very brave and use his paw to bring it close to him and then pick it up and triumphantly bring it to me like he just risked his life. Lola, the Jack Russel, licks things so constantly that she's worn a hole in the sofa and several in her bed. I don't know what that means but she was given to my friend too young. she was ony four weeks.

Hi Schultzz:

Yes, his name is Niño (pronounced Neen-yo) and as you probably know, it means "boy."

Father Angel,

It reminds me of one of my most cherished dogs when I was a teenager, Nito, the reverse of Toni. It was a she, though, and it brings tears to my eyes just remembering her, a mongrel.

Val,
LOL! :) They're so amazing. You'd think these doggies have been reading old issues of the comic strip "Peanuts."

Thank you good Father. You might be biased, but still, that is one beautiful animal. The colors, the bushy tail, the purebred markings and shape all say "manificato". Wow! I am sure everyone here who knows you is happy for you. Thank you for sharing that great pic and telling us his name. That pic made my day.

Thanks for sharing that Ian. I too, am reminded of of pet beagle from my teen years, long ago, who was cherished also.
