I'm getting pretty tired of this strategy of holding the poor, the aged and veterans hostage to demands such as: "Obama demands quick action to raise debt limit" or else SS and Medicare recipients and veterans may not get their checks. There is so much government bloat and waste that could be easily reduced that attacking the needy is absolutely inexcusable, unethical and immoral. I think the GOP should force Obama's hand by providing viable alternative cost reductions, if Obama carries through with his threat maybe the country will finally realize what kind of a person he really is.

IMO, The very first to have their pay withheld should be the elected officials starting with the CRWH, then the congress persons. Second should be the bureaucrats.

I just watched President Obama give his press conference -it was disgusting. I do not know what was the worst disgusting aspect; what President Obama lied about or the fact that the media with one exception did not question the lies.

Here is one example President Obama stated he must follow the law and spend money as the Congress budgets it; consequently, the debt limit must be raised.

Well, last time I checked there has been no budget in YEARS! The House has repeatedly attempted to get a budget through the Senate that would control spending; however, the leftist controlled Senate prefers instead to keep spending with continuing resolutions adjusted for inflation based upon the budget they passed before losing control of the House.

The US Senate is controlling US fiscal policy like a bunch of union thugs holding the country hostage!

Last time I checked President Obama has not followed all laws or enforced all laws.

Another example - President Obama stated the people have spoken and that he speaks for the people and the people want a balanced approach to deficit reduction.

Well, since when did we elect a King? The government consists of three branches AND the people have spoken there too!

I could go on and on; however....

Since November. But he didn't get my vote. I am not sure "King" is the right term. Perhaps ruthless dictator. He ignores contempt orders, he violates our Constitution, he dictates and democratis jump. Isn't there someone with enough [deleted by moderator] to stand up to this tyrant?

Schultzz,

Please contain the language, even if some letters are replaced with dashes. This is a Catholic forum, after all.

Ian,

Of course. I didn't quite know how to get my point across and didn't want to be gross so I'll find other ways to express my opinions without being offensive. Sorry for the intended expletive.
