First the greedy Big Box Stores did all they could to ruin their employees Thanksgiving by opening early, now they are whining that they didn't make as much on Black Friday. Good :P :P

To seek a moral point now is rather pointless because many merchants lost the original idea of Thanksgiving, Christmas, or altruism a long time ago. Now it is a race for "free for all" logic. "Get as much as you can whenever you can." Unfortunately, many shoppers support this secular approach and shop whenever the stores lure them into believing that they had better take advantage while they can. Yet greed must be contagious.

Write a song for someone, or make your own Christmas cards, or build something for someone. To me, that would mean a great deal more than most other high tech gizmos.

I have to agree. We do make several of our Christmas gifts and others we by from local craftspeople. Sadly my song writing ability is right down there in the tar pit with my singing ability; I think my singing is likely to prompt a damages lawsuit from the listeners or the song writer.
