I just found out that the Orthodox church accepts more books from the Apocrypha then the Roman Catholic church, why so? What are the additional teachings Orthodox teach? What are the additional books the Orthodox believe in? Are there any additional ritual practices the Orthodox do in their worship service due to the difference in the apocryha?

Matthew,

it's not that they accept more apocrypha, only that some of them were renamed or divided differently because the Catholic Church found it necessary, or dropped because they were repetitions/collections of bits and pieces contained elsewhere or venerated summaries of parts of the Scriptures that had survived the end of the oral transmission but of which we had the full text anyway.

We have discussed this issue to respond to doubts from our protestant brothers:

Orthodox doesn't accept more Apocrypha ? I thought the Orthodox church accepted 49 books vs the Roman Catholic church only accepts 46? I was just thinking the 3 books the Orthodox accept that the Roman Catholics don't may contain additional teachings that the Orthodox practice that the Roman Catholics do not.
