I'm an infrequent participater, but some of you may remember that my husband and I are experiencing infertility. We have recently been having trouble finding labs and doctors that will work with us on our terms. DH's doc finally ordered an analysis for him, but no labs in our area would take a sample from a perforated collection device, they wanted a "self-produced" sample. I hadn't thought of it, but when a friend said, "have you looked at a Catholic hospital?" we went to the big one in Chicago and our doctor is wonderful. We met with her and she's very respectful of our beliefs and wishes, and I finally feel like we don't have to fight the system to get our infertility figured out. So, while we're still at the beginning, we finally have a doc that's on our side, and hopefully soon we'll finally have a child.

Any and all prayers would be appreciated.

p.s. Laura, if you see this, I know we got into it a little bit in the last thread I participated in, but I hope there's no hard feelings and I hope I didn't make it onto your foes list!

I'm so glad for you! I know it seems like half the battle is over when we find a sympathetic professional with whom to work.

Jennifer,

That is good news. When I found a doctor that was Catholic and strongly adhered to the teachings of the Church it was such a blessing.

I was so relieved to be able to discuss things and not be judged.

I will pray for you and I hope this leads to wonderful things.

and......I still love your avatar. :)
