Dear All,
I am going thorugh a bad time after being, for want of a better word, bullied. I feel so low and depressed. Does anyone know of a Sant who could help me?
Thnak you.
Love,
Susanna

My dear Susanna;

I am sure that St. Maria Goretti understands what you are going through. (She was brutally murdered by her neighbor, who had been bullying her for many years, before the murder.)

You are also in my prayers. As a member of Fire in the Rose I have a special heart for people who are being bullied. I hope your attacker is soon converted to the way of peace, but in the mean time, know that you have the God-given right to be treated with respect and dignity. Insist on this right.

St. Dymphna is the patroness for the mentally ill -- strong word for depression in all its varied degrees, but she's a lovely girl, all the same. She was murdered by her father, a pagan, when she refused to submit to his advances. So she was bullied, and threatened... and she's a kind and gentle friend.
